I have a 18 year old cat who has lost a significant amount of weight as he has aged. He eats quite a bit, but I wanted to add a few extra calories to his diet. There aren't a lot of options for cats, so when I saw this I thought I'd give it a try.

Contrary to what the package says, I can't imagine that any cat would eat this willingly. First, it's not really a liquid, but rather a thick gel/paste (like molasses). Had I known this, I would not have purchased it because I know my cat does not like thick, syrupy supplements. Second, the product smells sweet, almost sugary. There is no aroma that a cat would find appealing whatsoever, so why would he eat it? Finally, when I mixed this with my cats canned food, the smell overtakes the food, resulting in him not eating anything, which is the opposite of what I wanted. I also tried mixing a small amount of it with milk, chicken broth, and water. He turned his nose at everything that had this stuff in it.

Basically, I threw twenty bucks directly into the garbage. Currently, it is only available for purchase through Revival Animal Health for $13.99 (not including shipping).
